HR policies
PSA Antwerp employs approximately 3.000 people.
An HR policy has been developed for all these employees, which is applied throughout all the company's divisions and departments, and which is managed centrally by the HR Department.
Recruitment, selection, assessment and training tools have been developed, which ensure that an employee’s entry and career development within PSA Antwerp are dealt with in a professional manner.
PSA Antwerp actively approaches the potential market through contacts with schools, presence at job fairs, by offering traineeships, through advertising and canvassing campaigns, its presence on job sites, etc.
We always check for every open vacancy whether we can offer an internal employee the opportunity of career development or a new direction in his/her career.
Every year our employees formulate individual goals for the following period. These goals constitute an important part of the annual evaluation by one's direct superior. As a result, employees are directly involved in their further career planning.
Our training unit organizes 65.000 hours of training every year, including group sessions as well as individual training projects, aimed at developing technical or operational knowledge and skills, social skills, management training, etc. International exchange of knowledge and skills are an essential component of this programme.
And naturally we also try to provide our employees with rapid and complete information as much as possible. Next to the more traditional channels (employee newsletter, notice boards, e-mails, etc.), we also set up an intranet application last year. We use the intranet to keep you informed of events, company news, staff changes, etc. But it also provides information about leave of absence, holidays, etc.
It goes without saying that our HR policy in general and our remuneration policy specifically comply with Belgian legislation and the provisions of the various joint committees, with which our companies are affiliated.
